Noah's Moving

Noah did so well today!

Still no ectopy, blood pressure was stable and in the normal range, he wasn't breathing too hard, and he was still tolerating his feeds (even though they are still going past his tummy). He was really fussy this morning but calmed right down when I held him. Then, once they took out his ART line in his groin, he was an angel and slept the rest of the day.

He is being moved OUT of the ICU as I write this. (I haven't gotten an update from the nurse yet, but I was told he was being transferred during shift change). I just hope and pray we won't have to go back. I love the nurses in the ICU but I really don't ever want to have to be there again. But he really is doing good and I feel good about it.

The next focus points for him to master before he can be released to RMH is: He has to tolerate Bolus feeds into his tummy (all the food at once just like eating himself instead of a continuous drip) without lung/breathing complications and he has to be weened down on the oxygen. But these are all things that can be done....

I may just have my baby home for good within the next few weeks! (or much shorter if I'm lucky but I am NOT going to let them rush it this time. I won't be able to handle THAT emotional roller coaster again!)

  1. Crys, this is such great news. We are so happy that Noah is doing better.
We wish you all the luck in the world.

It's crazy to hear things like, Bolus feeds vs continuous drips, and with not dropping o2 stats.
Seems like just yesterday we were fighting with those same things.

I am SO sorry you have to go through this. We don't understand your issues completely but probably better then most, and it's not something we would wish on anyone.

Just remember it is possible to get past all this, and it will make you a stronger person. I know that doesn't make anything better, but... yea... Keep up the faith that it will all be ok.

We are praying for you and can't wait until you guys can come visit :-)

We love you all so much.
